Ruk for Awareness - Augusta

Ruk for Awareness is a brisk 5k to promote Awareness for the many causes in our community providing support and endless respect for our veterans and other organizations. 

 

Rukkers, runners, and walkers we are asking you to come out and walk in the remembrance of the 22 men and women we lose every day to Veteran Suicide. If you can, we would like you to bring a new unwrapped toy that will then be donated to the local children fighting their own health battles or to bring blankets, toys, and treats to benefit local animal rescue agencies.

Children 13 and under participate for free with a donation of a toy. Individual registration is $27 through November 15th and then $32 including race day registration starting on November 16th. Team registration (4 members) is $67 through November 15th and $72 including race day registration starting on November 16th.

 

Proceeds from this year's Ruk will be used in order to provide items to the Uptown VA Hospital, the Blue Goose, the Downtown VA Hospital, the Fisher Houses, as well as many other veteran related projects in our community.


The ladies of The Vintage Initiative Project are working to bring awareness and assistance to charities that need assistance!
